Wintun Glacier Hike

Today was a field trip day. Eric our wilderness ranger and myself went over to the east side of the mountain to check out the Wintun Glacier and the newly created mud flow that started from the upper snowfield.
Check out the channel of this mud flow. Water can be very powerful.

In this picture you can see the waterfalls from the melting waters of the Upper Wintun Glacier. These waterfalls have never really been officially named and doesn't always show itself. With the very dry conditions we are having this season on the mountain, this waterwall is flowing.
These waterfalls are sometimes called the Wintun Falls and the Upper Ash Creek Falls.
