Prospect Peak, Lassen and Whiskeytown, Redding

This Labor Day weekend I decided to head over to Lassen National Park on the east side- Butte Lake Area. I took a hike up to the summit of East Prospect Peak. It was a great afternoon hike. A bit breezy on top. View looking north east. See Mt. Shasta way out in the distance.

Technology now a days. I can take a picture of myself with the 10 second delay. Not too bad.

Another great weekend. I'm amazed everytime I go to the Redding area, the new things I find. Whiskeytown National Park and Recreation Area a few miles west of Redding, is a hidden jewel definitely worth more exploring.
