Squaw Valley Creek Hike

Sunday my friend Dee and I decided to go check out the Squaw Valley Creek trail located out of the McCloud area. It was a beautiful day with the wildflowers just starting to bloom. We hiked about 3 miles to a small waterfall with the beautiful Siskiyou Lewisias blooming. The hike itself is mostly shaded with tall pine, fir and yew trees all along the trail. There are great swimming holes along the way. We did notice poison oak along the trail and saw a California lizard.

Another great day on the trails.
